Duke Mighten
Born and raised in the UK, currently residing in Sydney, Australia, Duke is an Art Director and illustrator with 20+ years experience in video game development, casino gaming and professional comic books.
Inspired at an early age by American and European comic books and movies, Japanese anime and the works of artists Jean (Möbius) Giraud, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, John Byrne, Ray Harryhaussen, Alfred Hitchcock, George Lucas, and Ridley Scott, Duke studied at GlosCat, and Southhampton Institute of Higher Education to pursue his ambitions to become a graphic artist and visual storyteller in his own right.
Duke’s skills and experience include Art Direction, Art Management, Outsource Production and Management, 2d Illustration, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Concept Art and Professional Comic Book Illustration.
His love for graphic art and visual storytelling is spread across multiple platforms and media including console and mobile gaming, digital and print.
Notable works include development of the first Afro Samurai game for Namco Bandai America, SXPD comic mobile game hybrid, fantasy horror comic books with Glenn Danzig, the prestige format book Batman: Book of Shadows for DC Comics and several short stories written and illustrated for Heavy Metal magazine.
